Ed helped us to sell a business with lots of long term potential but near term profitability challenges due to a variety of reasons. Normally Ed works with clients much larger than us, but he agreed to take us on to help us with our situation. Ed put in a lot of effort to locate a suitable buyer, and went above and beyond to facilitating guiding us through the process with the landlords to negotiate new lease deals that would work for the new buyer and get us out of some significant financial obligations. I recently purchased a business and Ed Valaitis with EdisonAvenue was the primary broker between myself and the seller. Having worked with a few other brokers that I was not too impressed with I have this to say about Ed:

1. He was a calming force, especially for me, as I made the biggest business decision of my life. Sounds cliché perhaps, but buying a business has an emotional side to it and having a neutral advisor to talk to regarding concerns about if this is a good business, the right fit, a chance for a solid financial future, etc.. is invaluable.

2. The transaction had it's hickups, as all transactions do, however, Ed was able to diligently work through contract negotiations between the seller and I, assisting in a rather quick turnaraound in terms of Business Sale transactions.

3. Ed was always available via telephone or email and was very responsive to my questions and concerns throughout the process. I'm sure I wasn't his only client at the time and I really appreciated the time he took to help me understand the process. He was also instrumental in assisting the seller with gathering the necessary information I needed in order to proceed with due diligence and finally the purchase.

4. In short I believe that everyone has differing needs when looking to purchase a business. Ed and EdisonAvenue were able to adjust to my and the seller's specific set of needs and provide solid advice for myself and the seller, this leads me to believe that they would be an asset to any business transaction.
